| After a series of issues have been bothering the Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity hospital, a new video recording of a meeting between the relatives of Jasmine Naik and the management members has come to light. In the meeting that was held on Monday the Naik’s were allegedly called by the management to discuss matters about vacating the current bed Jasmine is occupying in the post-natal ward. The video recording clearly shows how arguments ensued between the management and the family about vacating that bed and shift to a private room or take discharge of Jasmine. On Monday morning around 11 am members of the management at Wadia Maternity hospital went upto the post-natal ward to meet the relatives of Jasmine Naik. Relatives allege that they were pestered by the management to vacate the bed occupied by Jasmine. However as both Ganesh Mhapankar (Jasmine’s father) and Devdas Naik (her husband) were not present at the hospital, Jasmine’s mother Sunita refused to vacate the bed immediately. Later when Ganesh and other relatives arrived at the hospital they went to meet the hospital’s CEO, Mini Bhodhanwala. In the meeting that occurred around 11.30 am, the family demanded an explanation as why Jasmine should vacate the bed. They remained firm on their decision to not shift from the ward to any private room or accept discharge of the patient. One of the relatives managed to make a video recording of the meeting wherein two members from the management are seen arguing with family. Chandra Iyengar (Ex-IAS official) who has been appointed by the Wadia family to monitor the administration of the hospital and the new CEO Bhodhanwala can be seen trying to convince the family to vacate the bed in the post-natal ward and shift to a private room. | ||
